Initial Eval/Treatment

Service Description

Dr. Betler will do an initial insurance-based evaluation to help determine the best course of treatment. If you desire, he can provide treatments at the same visit, whether it be insurance-based osteopathic manipulation or cash-based shockwave therapy or magnet therapy. Please wear athletic-type clothing. Any area treated with shockwave will require exposure of skin. OMT and magnet therapy do not require skin exposure. If indicated, osteopathic manipulation can realign your spine, relax tense tissues, and achieve your treatment goals, all in a brief visit without medications. An OMT session is helpful if you are looking for relief from pain, irritable bowel syndrome, sinusitis, or other issues. We also provide craniosacral therapy and athletic optimization. Ongoing visits may be recommended. Please see our OMT page for further info. OMT is insurance-based but we have cash options as well. We also employ a protocol combination of Radial Wave (EPAT) and Focus Wave (ESWT) Therapy that can help with more specific pain points. This type of treatment would require a series of visits to resolve your issue. Please see our shockwave pages for further info. This is a cash-based service. We have a magnetic therapy (EMTT) device for more chronic issues like back pain and knee arthritis, but this can also be used for acute issues and can be employed in combination with other therapies to optimize its benefit. At any service with Dr Betler, a determination can be made to send home exercise programs or refer to an insurance-based physical therapy group if that is needed. Our practice employs a virtual medical assistant to be present during the visit to ensure everyone's comfort. All major insurances are accepted. Please note that you will be responsible for copays prior to visit. Insurance companies will send an explanation of benefits prior to us sending a bill. You may receive a bill from us through the mail if insurance denies payment or does not pay in full. If a cash option for the medical evaluation is preferred, this initial visit is available for $150. If shockwave or magnet therapy is utilized, you will be responsible for those additional costs.
